With the new ASHI fireplace tool set, the German design duo kaschkasch has once again proven that even the most mundane object can be clever and elegant and deserves daily recognition. ASHI's shape is inspired by swaying reeds that grow abundantly in shallow water. The handle has a similar contour and the rod resembles the strong, hollow stems that have been used for centuries to make baskets. As a practical addition, the wooden handles have a built-in magnet that holds the set securely to the stand when not in use and makes the fireplace set a decorative item in your living room. The shovel, broom and poker of the fireplace set appear to float on the crossbar of the matt powder-coated holder. The tongs are simply placed on top.
