What type of timber is used?
Our collections primarily feature slow-grown Scandinavian Redwood and premium sustainable softwoods. All timber is FSC-certified and pressure-treated (tanalised) to protect against rot and insect attack for years to come.
Delivery & Concierge Service
How long does delivery take?
We operate a "Direct Despatch" model to ensure the freshest stock. Delivery typically takes 5–10 business days. You will receive a bespoke tracking update once your order has been handcrafted.
Is there a delivery charge?
We offer complimentary delivery on the majority of our heavy-timber collections to mainland UK. Specific regional surcharges may apply for the Highlands and Islands.
Orders & Returns
Do the products arrive assembled?
To ensure safety during transit, larger items arrive in a "Managed Assembly" format. Clear, professional instructions are included for a seamless setup.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return window for all unused items in their original packaging. Please contact our Concierge team at concierge@acreandartisan.co.uk to arrange logistics.
Sustainability & Care
Is the wood sustainably sourced?
Environmentally responsible sourcing is a pillar of our brand. All timber used in our collections is FSC or PEFC certified, ensuring it comes from managed, sustainable forests that contribute to the health of the planet.
Does my furniture require immediate treatment?
No. Our products are "Tanalised" (pressure-treated) with high-quality preservatives that penetrate deep into the wood grain. This provides an immediate defence against rot, though we recommend an annual oil or wood-stain application to maintain the timber's rich aesthetic over many years.
Will the wood change colour over time?
As a natural "living" material, timber will gracefully weather to a silver-grey patina when exposed to UV light. This is a natural characteristic of high-quality garden architecture and does not affect the structural integrity of the piece.
